Simplify

This was the theme for the organization class I taught with a friend the other night. We talked a lot about sorting through things and really tossing a lot so there is less to work with. I think the night went well and thank you for those of you who gave me tips!

Here is the idea board I made for the class. I bought a 4x8 foot piece of soundboard from the local hardware store which they cut for me! I used my staple gun (very handy ladies, everyone should have one!) and stapled batting then a linen fabric to the back. The batting gives the board a softer look. I used t-pins to hold the pictures and quotes in place. I love how it turned out! The board will be easy to store for future use.

Well done Cher - I enjoyed the quotes. Maybe that is what I love about moving, it keeps things lean. As I hate to throw things out (it always feels wasteful)I am learning to NOT buy what I don't NEED. Kinda takes the joy out of shopping tho...

You're hired! When can you come help me get my office organized and de-cluttered once and for all? You have some great quotes there. I'm going to have to copy some down for inspiration!
Love, MOM

I zoomed up on the picture and read all the great quotes and looked at all the pictures. Save that board if you can, or at least put all the quotes and pics in a file in case I have to teach another organization class!

Looks great! And I know I will reference this picture often. We've made some progress since you sent me your ideas. You'd be proud!

Wow. Too bad we're on the other end of the country. I'll have to pick your brain on organization and decorating tips via email I guess!
