Christmas Favorites (#1)

I asked Mr. Claus for an expanded Stegner library this year...He delivered with West, a collection of stories and essays. I've read 3 or 4 so far and I'm even more enamored with Stegner, if that's possible! If you haven't read any of his works you must. Start with Crossing To Safety (my all-time favorite book) and go on from there. I promise you won't be disappointed.

I love Stegnar too. Crossing to Safety is great, I also loved Angle of Repose.

I often think of "Angle of Repose"- I think its one of the more brilliant title concepts out there. And you don't really find out the meaning of the title til the very end, and then it never leaves you.

You certainly are my Wallace Stegnarish friend- could I give a better compliment?

Glad to read you blogging again.

Oohh...that top book looks lovely. I think it may be time to reread Crossing to Safety. Let it be known I don't typically reread books but that one seems to share different lessons with me each time.
