Conversations In The Kitchen

Jon: (while putting on his sneaks for a basketball game) I just found an army guy in my shoe. (chuckle)

Cher: (While painting my much neglected toenails) Someday we're going to miss finding plastic army guys in our shoes. (smiling...)

Jon: No we won't, cuz we'll be having umbrellas in our drinks baby!

There is much to be said for living in the moment and enjoying your "phase" of life. Got it. Love it. I'm there. There is also much to be said about the kids being out of the house by the time I'm 46!

Before you know it, you won't believe you are 46. Miss you.

LOL! I love it! Especially the part about the kids being out of the house when you are 46!! When I'm 46 my daugher will be 16 and my son 12. Yikes! Teenage girl drama and a son hitting puberty. No fun. Now I'm sad. . .

I just found your blog through your sister (who we used to live by). Anyway, I just saw your prevous post w/that clip from Conan and that is awesome! I laughed out loud. So thanks, it made my day.

I hear you girl. And as much as I love my "little" kids, I can wait to have 'em all out and still be young and up for some serious adventures. Here's to being young parents!!!

When I am 46, well, who knows...my baby will be 10 but there could be more, so perhaps those drinks with umbrellas in them will be saved for the 70's:)

Continue spending time teaching and loving your children like you do and they WILL be out of the house by 46 because they will be preparing to form their own happy families! Of course, that means you'll get multiple little ones in return (grandchildren), but that's so much fun and they appear and disappear much more quickly. PLUS, you're not in charge!
