After a year of living in Seattle we finally made it to Mt. Rainier and WOW! Jon planned a great day trip that took us around the mountain and we hit all of the highlights. Definitely a must-see next time you come to visit! We even caught the tail end of a geological tour and heard the amazing history of the glacier and how it formed the surrounding area.
Here we are at the Grove of the Patriarchs, trees that are thousands of years old.

Anderton Family tradition, throwing rocks into rivers. (With B2)
Ella sketching a bird at the visitors center at Mt. Rainier.
Gorgeous view of Mt. Rainier.

Will exploring in the woods.

What a wonderful childhood you are giving to the children.
Looks fun. I can't believe how long Ella's hair is!
That's a must on our list next summer trip to Seattle! That tree that you are all hugging is smaller than the one in my old front yard in Pescadero. When I was a teen it took 13 people to go around it, and years later it was about 20 people. Pretty amazing!
