of house renovations I mean.

Don't be jealous. You know you want your master bathroom to look like this. But it doesn't. Because you didn't rip out a blue bathtub and 45 year old vinyl flooring to find the entire sub-floor rotted through. As in "don't bounce too hard or you will land in the garage" rotted through. We need to be institutionalized. It would force me to rest and instead of trying to picture a blank white wall to get myself to sleep at night, I could actually be surrounded by white walls. Sounds peaceful actually. Sign me up!

Acutally, I've been there. Blue bathtub, rotting walls that literally fell in one day, and spending an entire two weeks showering at the gym because we only have one bathroom! Being homeowners is such an ambivalent thing: madness and pride wrapped into one! Maybe you should watch Money Pit with Tom Hanks to lift your spirits!
Wow! I can't imagine the shock! Just what you wanted, another demo/remo project. Just think, now you can do almost what ever you want in the bathroom...your only restiction is space and money. Did John finish tiling the other upstairs bathroom? At least you have two other bathrooms to use. If it makes you feel any better, I really, truly love your Doris Day house.
Lulu, you crack me up! I can just picture you all filing into the gym in your jammies to get ready for the day!
DRAMA! What a nightmare. So sorry!
We had a black tub/shower, black sink and a black toilet in our old house.......before we replaced them of course. Actually we (hired out) acid washed our tub/shower then refinished it. Good luck!
Now when you are showering you can think about all that nice clean sheetrock and flooring below you instead of someone else's moldy scum growing from drips of leaking bath or toilet water. Nasty!
